Tumor Behind the Eye
I am writing to share my story in hopes it will be useful. A routine MRI for some hearing loss turned up negative. Just too many years of playing with toys - airplanes, cars, boats, guns, chainsaws, etc. However, a secondary finding showed a large tumor behind my left eye. I figured my career as a pilot was over. Not knowing what to do, I contacted a Dr. Monaco, who specializes in unique eye problems in dealing with the FAA Medical Division. Dr. Monaco proved to be truly a blessing. He was able to provide the expertise in dealing with my problem and was able to secure my medical before it expired. Dr. Monaco's commitment and understanding in dealing with my problem cannot be understated. Not only was he successful, but was a calming influence while this whole thing played out. Special thanks to a colleague of his, Dr. Quay Snyder, who, together with Dr. Monaco was instrumental in dealing with the FAA. Both went out of their way to keep me informed and to provide assurance everything was being done to present my case for review. I wish to thank both Dr. Monaco and Dr. Snyder and would highly recommend them to anyone. If you have an eye problem, see Dr. Monaco. He will be honest and if there is a chance of keeping your medical, then he's the one to get the job done. Again, My heartfelt thanks to you, Dr. Monaco - you're the best.
